About Hemp Seeds
Hemp seeds are from the hemp "Cannabis sativa" plant. Though despite being of the same genus and species of the cannabis "marijuana" plant, hemp DOES NOT have the same effects. Though it does share a similar history. The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp has since become legal again. The FDA now also lists hemp seeds as a "generally recognized as safe" (GRAS) food.
Nutritional Benefits
Hemp seeds or "hemp hearts" are a highly nutritious food. They are rich in two essential fatty acids, "alpha-linoleic acid" (omega-3) and "linoleic acid" (omega-6). In addition hemp seeds are a great source of plant-based protein, which make up 25% of their calories on average. Hemp seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber and may help promote healthy digestion. Hemp seeds contain multiple key nutrients such as:
- B vitamins
- Vitamin E
- Iron
- Potassium
- Zinc

Recommended Storage: Dry, odor free area. Best kept in sealed containers in cool temperatures. (40°-45°F)
